A Moment of Inspiration

It's kind of funny the things that inspire you. Like this guy Brian Gaynor.

Brian Gaynor has not only a passion for dance, but scoliosis as well. I have scoliosis. Or I did, until around 2000 when I had double titanium rods implemented. To see what he's able to do, even with his limited range of motion inspires me in a way I haven't been in a long time.

Here I am, sulking about school and jobs and all these other things that are constantly bombarding me and trying to pull me down, and there's this dude here. This dude here doesn't let his bodily limitations stop him from doing what he loves; he dances because it's what he wants to do and what brings him joy. Regardless of if he's the best at it although dude is superb at that robot or if it makes him money, he does it and does it with abandon and acceptance.

What I feel when watching him dance is...everything. Everything. If he can do that, then I can do all these things in my life that seem impossible. All it takes is that leap of faith and determination.

Super woman in training. Life is abominable. It exists to challenge you in every way. If you aren't being challenged, thats because either you quit or somebody quit for you. The moment life is too easy...thats when you should cry. We weren't meant to have it easy...this I'm sure you know well. Why did I say it then? Because it lets you know that my life is just as unpleasant at times as yours could be. I don't have your same problems or perspectives...wouldn't ever be so pretentious as to pretend to understand some of the difficulties that you go through trying to adapt to the World.
Point is, luv, that you can do anything that you are willing to sacrifice everything to...well, aside from trying to get someone else to love you. People can be unbelievably demented for example, Sanaa Lathan's character in "The Family That Preys" when she tells her husband that his child may actually belong to her boss. That kind of venom is the thing nightmares are made of. Point is, aside from people, sacrifice every thing for your dreams. But always uphold the highest esteem and form while doing so.
From Sagey Bear with love.
